Recently, the 2020 high-level talent (100 doctors) event for overseas returnees was successfully held in Jiangmen City. At the main conference of the event, three research platforms in Heshan City were awarded on-site by provincial and municipal leaders and received project funding checks.

Among them, GuangDong HuaAo New Alloy Material Co.,Ltd. was awarded the Guangdong Provincial Doctoral Workstation and the Guangdong Provincial Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base; overseas returnee talent Dr. Xu Guomin was awarded the Jiangmen City Overseas Returnees Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project.

Since the beginning of this year, Heshan City has focused on promoting talent absorption in three major industries: advanced equipment manufacturing, electronic information, and new materials. It actively implements the 'government + enterprise' talent service commissioner mechanism, carries out 'three proactive' services, actively engages with enterprises, and provides business guidance for enterprises applying for doctoral and postdoctoral research platforms; actively connects with universities to establish close ties between industry, academia, and research, inviting professors and directors from South China University of Technology to guide the construction of postdoctoral innovation practice bases in Heshan City; and provides detailed services, offering one-on-one 'talent steward' services to key enterprises in Heshan City, combining with the 'Talent Policy Promotion Day' event, where talent stewards conduct targeted policy presentations and follow-up visits for quality service.

This year, Heshan City has added three major talent research platforms: Guangdong Provincial Doctoral Workstation, Guangdong Provincial Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base, and Overseas Returnees Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project, which will help enterprises enhance their industry-university-research foundation, strengthen talent-driven technological innovation, build smart factories, and promote the formation of upstream and downstream industrial clusters, injecting fresh blood into Heshan's economic development. In the next step, Heshan City will continue to implement the innovation-driven development strategy and the talent-strong city strategy, adhere to the proactive service concept, assist enterprises in building talent research platforms, and attract more high-level talents to drive high-quality economic development.

GuangDong HuaAo New Alloy Material Co.,Ltd., as a benchmark enterprise for technological innovation in Heshan City's new materials industry, is a Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center and a national high-tech enterprise. It has introduced 8 doctoral and master's talents and has a research team of 30 people. In 2019 alone, the number of technology development projects reached over 20. Recently, it also received investment from a provincial group company to build an aerospace new materials industry base and expand production of new materials such as high-temperature alloys, high-alloy materials, and powder metallurgy.
